As I sit here and type I am, so incredibly tired. My eyes can barely keep open.
It's that sort of tiredness where you have kept going and kept going and suddenly you stop and it is the stopping that allows your body to relax and the tiredness to take over.
It';s been a long long week .... but a good one.
It is satisfied sort of tired.
It is the tired that comes with the sense of a job well done.
But it is still tired!
The prompt for LSNED was about thankfulness or gratitude and so I have scrapped and journalled about the fact I keep a thankfulness log on here each day - and regular readers will know that I have been doing that for about three years or so.
And my quote is so true.
Being thankful makes me happy.
I can't imagine not stopping and being thankful every day.
Being thankful is my focus.
And it even ties in witht he page I want to share today. This photo records a bit of a low point for me. The day we went to Fountains Abbey and my poor damaged ankle was probably at its worst point and I really didn't think I would make it to the end (and let's face it ... I am a tad heavy for Nigel to have carried and lived to tell the tale)
So I wanted to record that but it was important for me to also record the fact I lived through it, I did make it, it was a low point but I recovered and that my ankle is steadily imporving. Hence the Count Your Blessings title.
You have to look hard sometimes, but there are ALWAYS blessings to count.
So in true Dolly tradition ...
Today I am thankful for
- well - actually a bit thankful it is Friday
- for a week well done
- for a surprise welcome gift of chocolate at the end of the day
- for happy smiling faces all around
- for seeing my name in print (childishly excited)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone x
