When I am on holiday Sunday is just a day really, but once term resumes, Sunday is very special. It is a day to be extra treasured and also a day of routine and catch up before Monday arrives.
The LSNED prompt today was about lessons learnt focussing on new skills and it was very apt for me today.
Nigel made me something to sit on my desktop but because he made it in his favourite programme - Excel - the shortcut icon was, well Excel. Not pretty, not nice to look at, not special.
Nigel knew how to change the icon and as soon as I knew you could change the icon I wanted to change it to a special one. But we didn't know how to do that. we didn't know how to make our own icons.
So we found out.
And now we know.
A new skill learnt.
One we will use again.
Barbara - I am sorry that quote wasn't credited. I hate it when I don't know who said something as it always seems so rude to use it.
Today has been a day of sunny intervals and pretty showers - pretty as they have been accompanied by rainbows. And for the first time in ages there has been a chill in the air. It feels like Autumn is on the way.
Which suits me just fine. I LOVE Autumn - it is my favourite season of the year.
I have another page to share today - another made for our 2013 road trip album
I loved this picture of Nigel by one of the Lochs in the Trossachs.
The flower die was one of my birthday presents and it is just white card inked.
Today I am thankful for
- the opportunity to learn new things
- being home doing simple stuff
- catching up on work so I can start the new week fresh
And remember .... watch the blog from 6 a, tomorrow - the UKS blog hop starts at 6 am and there are great prizes to win if you comment on all the blogs in the hop.
I have a great feebie to give away for my part in the hop.
