It's been a lovely day today. I have felt much better than yesterday and a litte light scrapping helped.
I had planned to do more but the day sort of ran away with us as we got hooked on a jigsaw.
We had unearthed it in the garage - a brand new gorgeous vintage mickey jigsaw. The picture was lovely - all vintage images in browns and creams and a lot of gold foil.
Oh my is is hard.
Almost impossible.
But we are both hooked and can't tear opurselves away from it.
I do have some digi scrapping to share though.
Dawn Inskip has realeased a brand new collection today and it is a stunner.
It is called darkest days although you could use it for loads of different pages.

you could use it for all sorts of things but it is espcecially good for those oh so hard to scrap things that I believe are important to record.
We all have things in our lives that are far from perfect. Days when life is too hard or too sad, days when we things happen that shape us to be the people we are but when than shaping is awfully painful. I am a great believer that we need to record those days too, as well as the trips and outings, the funny stories, the celebrations. Because they make us the people we are just as much as the happy memories do.
I made a couple of pages but this one was from the heart.
I lost my Mom way too early and the day she died is one etched on my memory for ever as it was so awful, so unexpected, so dreadful. I think it is cathartic to record memories like this. Locking them away and never facing them may seem easier but in the long run that probably isn't the best thing to do.
I have to say I was incredibly moved when I saw the pages Dawn's CT had made. We all get touched by tragedy in our lives and you never really know how hurt another might be ... I guess the saying that you never really know someone until you walk a mile in their shoes is so true. You never really klnow what saddness forges others.
Today I am thanklful for
- a quiet day
- absorbing hobbies - like jigsaws
- my Mom who was such a beautiful person

Oh, Karen... such a very touching page. I still have my mom-- she just turned 90 this month, so I know I will one day face the inevitable. I can't even imagine how very sad that day will be for me, even though we know she will be in a much better "home".
Thank you so much for sharing that heartfelt page.
Glad to hear you are feeling better--- I hope it sticks :-)
