Karen that story brought a lump to my throat , and a tear.in my eye!
I had to go back to the beginning of your post and read it again to cheer myself up . I still miss my mum it can catch you unaware no matter how long ago.
it has been 19 years now ,and I often wish she was still here

Oh how that letter brought tears to my eyes. My mom and I are there right now. She has dementia, and yes, she tells me the same story three times in an half an hour. But that's okay. I feel I'm blessed to be able to be with her now and do anything I can for her. I'm making up for 23 years of being so very far away from her. She will be 90 next Sunday. God bless her!
