Let's start with the good news first.
Fiki had to go to the vet's on Monday for some blood tests as there was a worry that in addition to the PKD he also had thyroid problems and that was the possible reason for being overweight. When I got home from work there was a message on the answer phone from the vet with his results.
Well the results show that he is just a fatty - thank goodness. The thyroids tests were clear and it looks like he is following in his mum's footsteps and is just a little porker.
We have to go back to do some further checks but it was good news and we are so happy.
It's been a miserable damp and grey day here and I gather it is set to get cold (which I love actually) but I hope that a brand new collection of templates will brighten up the day.
Dawn Inskip's templates are utterly superb and so useful. This latest collection is absolutely huge.

So here is one of the pages that I made with the templates and other Dawn collections, all available at her Scrapbookgraphics store.
and this seemed such a suitable page to share today
Today I am thankful for
- Fiki having one less thing to worry about - although I think he is not going to like Skinny Cat Boot Camp (the equivalent of weight watchers for cats)
And this is just too cute not to share.
And I love my quote for today
However great the flood, it will ebb.

Such a great relief about Fiki, hope you can keep him to a diet, not an easy job when there are other cats in the family.

So glad to hear the good news about Fiki's thyroid.
Loved the journalling on your layout about all the spots :-D I was at Michael's Crafts the other day and noticed they had (fake) poinsettias with leopard print on the flower leaves! Hahahahaha! That's a little too spotty for me ;-)
Karen, I sometimes read your blog on my Kindle, but I am not allowed to reply to you on it. Would you have any idea why? I don't mind hauling out my laptop to comment, but when I travel, I may not have the laptop with me. Just curious--and trying to adjust to something that isn't an Apple product ;-)
