Happy Scrappy Sunday everyone.
I promised I would share my latest mini book here and give the instructions. I have made it for a scrap class I am teaching and as the instructions had to be written for that, it seemed silly not to share them here too.
It is a very very simple book and uses many ideas that I have gleaned from around cyber world. I am very keen to stress it is not unique and I owe credit for some of the techniques - the little tab and 'buckle' page to the Sleeping Under canvas mini book by DeeMo that was part of the most recent UKS cyber crop. The flap and fold page was also in that class but I have used that before and I picked that up from another mini book I saw on You Tube. I guess there are few new and unique ideas, the differences are how they are combined.
This mini book uses a very simple binding rather than a stitched or matchbook binding that I usually do.
This is the front of the mini book - cats of course.
I have used the book to record the cats in 2012 so all of the pictures were taken last year.
Here are the rest of the pages
It uses just two sheets of 12" x 12" cardstock, two pieces of chipboard and scraps of card and patterned paper and is really really simple to make. I like simple!
These are the downloadable instructions in a PDF
If you make one I would love to see it so drop me a comment and a link so I can come look.
I have also made the house challenge page for UKS today.
The pictures are of the Caribbean Beach and the patio by Banana Cabana where we used to have breakfast, enjoying the Florida sun and the food and the view. It was bliss.
The banner was made twice and then sections cut out and mounted on thick card and then on foam pads so it is very dimensional - not so easy to show.
Like all of my Caribbean pages it is soft pastel tones as the resort is soft pastel tones.
It has been a glorious day here - cold but bright and sunny and we have been for a long long walk.
I love days like this.
Today I am thankful for
-
finishing writing instructions
-
glorious sunny Sundays
-
a lovely long walk
Have a good rest of Sunday and meanwhile enjoy these LOL cats.

Thanks Kare-I love mini books too. Will have to retrieve the dreaded Bind-it-all from the very top shelf in the cupboard as I had a fall out with it before Christmas due to my inability to remember which wat the blinking wires should go.

Thanks for this download Karen
I have lots of mini books, but ii have not made any for some time now so it is good to have fresh ideas that will maybe get me started again.
The trouble is I have too many projects on the go at the same time, and still have a few to finish yet!

Oh, thank you, Dolly! I'm going to download the instructions and give it a try. I always scrap on 12x12 white pages, so this will be something quite new for me. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Blessings,
Kim
