OK so I don't actually EARN dollars - though I would love to as it would mean we really were living in America - but the sentiment is the same.
Holidays are fun but you have to work to earn the where-with-all to have the fun.
And much as the hours can be long and the pressures many, I am glad to go back. I was ready. (I may not have been totally ready for the 6am alarm) I do enjoy my job immensly and I would get stale if I didn't have the work, the challenge etc.
The hardest part about returning is also the easiest in some ways. I hate leaving Nigel and the cats and knowing that their life carries on much as it does once I have returned. Nigel would say the big difference is the quiet! However I love that they are all together. I used to hate leaving the cats when we both worked as they must have found it odd that they had us there for weeks and then suddenly they didn't. But at least now Nigel is still there with them. I also love that he has their company. I know when he worked I would have gone insane without the cats there all day.
I have scrapping - well card making - from the weekend that I haven't shared yet. I needed to make a whole host of thank you cards.
as you can see - variations on a theme
The last was my favourite and I was playing around with a watermark too.
And I have a reminder for you - if you enjoy a challenge there are a whole host of new challenges over at Pickleberrypop HERE
Today I am thankful for
- seeing everyone again
- the fresh new start of a whole new year
- great ideas and food for thought
some teeny tiny things to make you smile - thanks to Norma for that.
And Judy - so lovely to hear from you in Florida and Happy New Year to you too.
This is my page a day calendar page
“If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expectto find it?”

Enjoy a happy new year at school :-)
