I love Saturdays and even when it is wet and you get soaked going out, I still love Saturdays.
We only went into town and bought - what we went for - a new phone case for me.
I have struggled with my case as the camera hole was just a little too small and so you had a slight shadow at the top corner of every picture. I had tried filing it but no use.
Nigel had heard of a new sort of case that he felt would be just perfect for me. It puts the phone in a cradle like the inside of my current case, butt he back is magnetic and so it comes out of the leather flip wallet case. Sounds more complex than it is but surfice to say it was just what I wanted.
I planned a scrappy day and have done a little but not as much as I hoped, largely as we spent a long time listing things to sell that we had sorted out from the spare room.
But I do have new scrapping to share.
This is another page made with Dawn's fabulous templates and more of her wonderful kits.
The photo is of our favourite local sculpture (and it actually makes out top 3 sculptures in the world, beaten only by Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima. It is outside the RNLI and is beautiful, day or night and such a tribute to the brave men and women of the surface. The base, which is huge, is inscribed with all of the names of those who have lost their lives.
I can't resist sharing the one that shows it at night that I made earlier last year.
I also made a page I don't like but it was for a challenge. It is another for the Florida album and is of the back of Big Thunder when we did the Liberty Belle boat ride, which we have only ever done once before and I think that was at Disneyland not in Florida.
We sailed late afternoon and the light was just lovely.
sometimes it is those litlle unexpected moments that are worth capturing.
There was a lot of stamping amd stitching for what looks like a horribly simple page.
I would also like to remind everyone to check back tomorrow for a free mini book class with downloadable instructions
Finally today I am thankful for
- finding the phone case I was after
- being relatively good diet wise even though it is a Saturday
- Fiki sleeping on his new bed for the first time. So good to see.
and I leave you with this
A dear old lady was asked what
she used to make her complexion so beautiful and her whole being so bright and
attractive.
She answered:
"I use for my lips, truth
I use for my voice, kindness
I use for my ears, compassion
I use for my hands, charity
I use for my figure, uprightness
I use for my heart, love
I use for any who do not like
me, prayer."

I quite like your Unexpected layout. :-)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
