Well I guess half way through the year was enough to kick my butt and get me going.
I wanted to join in with It's a Creative World's 12 projects in 12 months but life just got in the way.
Better late than never I guess.
I had all the info I needed as i have done the 365 project all year - as well as making weekly pages.
I had started the book ages ago and today I cracked on with it.
I used the fabulous class by Clare Brown on the A Trip Down Memory Lane website.
It is an awesome class and something I really wanted to do.
Clare - thank you for such a wonderful idea and Mel and Jill thanks so much for sharing it with everyone.
I absolutely hate and detest the cover and will be replacing it. But here is the book so far.
There are lots of pull out tags as well with more photos and journalling.
I loved the idea of making the book witht he shaped papers - mostly Making memories but a few others.
I love the ide of the tags inserted in the folded pages and as extra sub pages.
I love the shape of the book - the 6" x 12" - not a shape I have ever used before.
It is also the very first time I have used my bind it all. I have borrowed the school machine before but bought my own a while ago and it has been begging to be used.
Apart from doing this we have been out to get yet more things for the bedroom and bathroom. It seems never ending.
Having bought curtains yesterday we got the paint and the door furniture today.
My goodness - have you any idea how much cupbaord door knobs are? And we have 27 int he bedroom. i kid you not. 27!!!
I am going to put the old ones - which are really nice but just won't go with the new bedroom - on e bay.
They are much too good to just ditch and I now know how expensive door knobs are!
I want to spend tomorrow doing my April, May and June pages for the year book so that I am caught up, but I also have to face one of my greatest ordeals.
I am blessed with a huge walk in airing cupboard. It is a great space and means I can have clothes stands up in it to dry clothes all year round.
But having a biog space is very very bad for me.
I hoard.
Badly!
There are 19 years worth of towels in there. No - I don't throw the old ones out when I buy new .... they just go further back.
And I have a major towel fettish.
I want new towels for the new bathroom and so I really do have to confront the beast and sort the cupbaord.
I may be gone some time!!!!

Oh my goodness I just LOVE this book! I love how you've used those die cut papers; they are so effective. Thanks for the link to Clare's tutorial too; I don't see enough of her work anymore.

Love your take on this Karen, it is a gorgeous class by Clare and your version is wonderful. (I actually like your cover though - not sure why you dislike it so much!) Mel x
