I had a great time at the cyber crop on UK Scrappers and completed a lot of pages and will share more later in the week. However one of the things I completed was a class by Shimelle (so you couldn't really go wrong eh!) to make a teeny mini book. I actually wish I had gone smaller than I did, but I love the little book. I hadn't bought the kit so I made my own mini book and I love the format - not one I had used before so I am so glad I figured it out.
I kept the book really simple, using just a photo and a transparency on each page. I did think I would add embellishments later, but I love it as it is so I am not going to add more to it.
The pictures of the cats were taken at a whole variety of animal parks, though I guess most were from Marwell. Marwell is our closest zoo and it is a fab place to visit. It appeals to use especially as they have a great collection of big cats - and that is, of course, our main incentive for visiting.
The two lion pictures were both taken at Longleat, though not on the same trip. I love the one of the young male roaring. reminded me of Simba from the Lion King ... working on his roar.
The tiger washing his paws and the white tiger on the front were both taken at Busch gardens a couple of years ago. We can easily lose hours watching the tigers. The Majestic white tiger inside was taken at Colchester Zoo - so well recommended . It is a terrific zoo.
I am looking forward to going on the Big Cat photo shoot day in September. Linz's hubby Gary has organised it at a private wildlife park in Kent and his photographs are superb. It looks like it will be a terrific day, not only with lots of cats to photograph but also with professional photography advice right there on hand. Hopefully lots more pictures to scrap.
